13 Photos to Make You Fall In Love With Bolivia

I didn’t quite know what to expect of Bolivia before I visited – the Salt Flats were the main reason I wanted to go and they certainly lived up to my expectations! However, there were many more stunning views and beautiful landscapes that I wasn’t expecting, plus extremely friendly locals eager to tell you more about their lives and country. I have selected my favourite images from my trip – I hope you enjoy them.

  1. Wow, Bolivia looks like a beautiful country. I have been to quite a few countries but have not yet made it to South America, but from your pictures, Bolivia would definitely be on the list. It is proberbly one of those countries that haven’t been publicised as much so it becomes a hidden gem. Looks so peaceful

  2. The photos are stunning. I live in Arizona and it’s interesting to see the cacti with the llamas (or at least I think they are llamas??). That reminds me of the desert scenery around my home. I didn’t know the geography in Boivia is so diverse. There are of course the salt flats, but the desert and then there are pictures of lush green areas. I had no idea these could all be from the same place. Anyway, thank you for sharing these amazing photos, they are absolutely beautiful.

    1. Hi,

I had no idea Bolivia was quite so diverse until I got there either – it really is a stunning country.

  3. Hi Louise,

Wow, Bolivia is the country I dream to travel for a long time now. I’ve put it on my bucket list. I know for sure that I will visit there, it is just a question of time:) I have plenty of books and magazines about Bolivia. So it’s a good start:)
I love nature, and I sure am that Bolivia has a lot of beauty to offer!
Thank you very much for these beautiful pictures!

  4. I would love to visit the salt flats. I also love the picture of all the cactus, desert landscaping can be so pretty.

  5. Truly loved all the photos. They play the scintillating part of alluring me to a new destination. The Llama looks so cute! Do they eat them in the country?

  6. I got so excited when I saw the title of your post. Well, the pictures are more beautiful than what I was expecting. I really like the one with the flamingos. Like you said, the landscapes on the country are so varied. Would love to visit Bolivia one day (and other countries in South America).

  7. Such a beautiful country! I haven’t made it to South America at all, yet, but the Salt Flats are definitely also on my list of must-sees.

    Happy continued travels!
